CMS is an application that allows anyone within an organization to make an update to the corporate Web site. And best of all, CMS enables content managers to edit and approve all content changes in one easy click before they are published to the Web - a feature missing from some of the most expensive Web self-publishing tools.

Here is the administrative section of CMS. The pages are divided by Type. Each page is given an ID
number. Templates can be used for several pages, such as the “general content” template.
Here is what the page looks like when you click on “Edit” (to the right in the previous screen shot). In the
next two screens, you will see editing the text and an image.It's really that simple!
When editing the text, there is an internal “Link Generator” that will give you the link to any page you’ve
created in the database. All you need to do is copy and paste it into your content.There is also a text editor add-on that allows you to seemlessly edit text, create links, and style your fonts with no programming knowledge.
When editing an image, the user obtains the image from the local drive and uploads it to the browser. Attributes such as width and height can be determined as well as aligning the image to the left or right.
CMS Overview:
CMS is a PHP based Open Source application tool with an Oracle database that can be used on IIS as well. This tool was written and created to solve a problem that many companies face today – how to keep fresh content flowing to the Web at low cost. In most cases, OhioOnline sets up the templates while the client fills in the content. No more phone calls or emails to get your Web site updated.
Special features can also be added to enhance Web sites such as calendars, contest sections and member / locators. CMS is fully customizable to suit your needs.
CMS is accessible through any browser. With password protected administration you can have several of your employees updating content, while one person approves it with a click of the mouse. Any one of the applications mentioned in the previous section can be added to CMS.
